Mikumi National Park is one of the most accessible and captivating parks, offering a genuine African safari experience without taking up too much of your time. Mikumi spans an area of 3,230 km² and is named after the Borassus palm, which once thrived there.
Climate Mikumi experiences two rainy seasons: short rains from October to early November and long rains from March to May. The dry season lasts from late June to September. The park lies at an altitude ranging from 200 to 800 meters.
